Before your session, you don’t need to prepare in any special way. There’s no homework, no performance expectations, and no pressure to know exactly what you want to work on.
You may receive brief information ahead of time regarding location details, what to wear, and arrival timing. If you have questions or concerns, you’re always welcome to ask.
When you arrive, you’ll be welcomed into a calm, environment designed to support presence and connection. You’ll meet your facilitator and be introduced to the space and the horses in a way that feels safe and unhurried.
There is no rush — sessions begin with grounding and orientation so you can settle in comfortably.
Horse & Soul experiences are ground-based and experiential. You will not ride the horses.
The horses are active participants in the experience, offering natural feedback through their presence and responses. You are always invited — never required — to engage at a level that feels right for you. This is about noticing, learning, and connecting.
Choice and consent are central to every Horse & Soul experience. You are always free to pause, step back, ask questions, or adjust your level of participation. If you’re nervous, unsure, or simply curious, that’s okay. Sessions move at your pace, and there is no expectation to push beyond your comfort zone. Safety protocols are in place to ensure both participant and horse well-being.
After your session, there is often time for reflection and discussion. Some people leave with clear insights, while others notice shifts unfolding gradually over time.
There is no “right” outcome — each experience is personal and meaningful in its own way.
If appropriate, next steps or future sessions can be discussed together.
Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing
Closed-toe shoes
Layers recommended
A willingness to be present
No special equipment or horse experience required.

Horse & Soul experiences take place outdoors. Light weather conditions may be part of the experience, while sessions may be rescheduled in cases of severe or unsafe weather. You’ll always be notified if adjustments are needed.

Horse & Soul may be a good fit if you’re open to learning through experience, reflection, and connection — rather than conversation alone. This may not be the right fit if you’re looking for riding lessons or a highly structured, instructional program. If you’re unsure, that’s perfectly okay. A conversation can help clarify whether this experience aligns with your needs.
You don’t need to have everything figured out to begin. Curiosity is enough.
